IJGC Junior Golf Circuit – is an integrated junior golf event, organized by IJGC (Indonesian Junior Golf Community) to showcase the local talent of selected junior players (ages 10 -17yrs.boys/girls), supported by APLGI (Indonesian Golf Owners Association) and supervised by PGI (Indonesian Golf Association).The conditions of competition are as follows:

3.ELIGIBILITY
The tournament is limited to junior amateur players who have not reached their 18th birthday on 23rdDecember, 2008. The spirit of our events is to invite talented junior golf players in Indonesia, and as such, non-members are welcome to participate whenever available. The eligibility will be selected based on the following priorities:

**Ingeneral we would like to have our players to have a minimum scoring average of 85 to ensure the quality standards and pace of play is well maintained (the golf course is not closed for the competition).
IJGC members can participate in the last day of each event (could not attend the first round due to school commitment), subject to availability from the first round participation. They are not entitled to receive any Order of Merits or ranking points. The organizing committee may in the future provide Last Day Lowest Score Award (LSA) where they can compete.
Any other exemptions (age, handicap, and etc.) of the above can be made subject approval from the Organizing Committee with adequate justification and in line with the spirit of the events i.e. developing a competitive environment with quality players.
4.SIZE OF FIELD
The current maximum of entry field is limited to 40 players as arranged by APLGI with the respective golf courses. We will on best effort basis, accommodate to into account various considerations depending on the demand and availability of players to meet the required criteria. It is subject to final entries and approval by IJGC committee.
5.FORMAT
Individual stroke play competition based on gross scores. Pairings will be selected according to the Committee based on overall participation registered in the event and NOT by age group. (i.e.Boys and Girls may be combined subject to participation). Final round pairings will be based on 1st round results.
6.MANNER OF PLAY
36 holes stroke play competition for Boys’and Girls with respective age group (classes A,B,C & D) combined.

9.TIES
Ties for first placewill be settled by a sudden death play-off. All minor placings shall be decided based on a count back system as follows:
Last 18 holes, if a tie still persists, then

Hole 18.
If a tie still persists, then the preceding 18 holes, 9 holes, 6 holes, 3 holes in that order.

11.OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND
There is no official practice round for each event. Players are requested to practice at own time and expense.
12.RULES OF GOLF
The Championship will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf approved by The Royal and AncientGolf Club of St. Andrews and with the Local Rules approved by the Tournament Director and Organizing Committee. Disputes, if any, will be settled by the Tournament Director, Chief Referee, and a representative from the Organizing Committee; and their decisionwill be final.
13.DRIVING CLUBS
The driver the player carries must have a club head, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A.
Note: Any individual driver on the List, if tested on pendulum testing apparatus approved by the R&A, must not have a characteristic time greater than 257 microseconds.

The ball the player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A.

15.STARTING TIME ( Note to Rule 6-3a)
Ifaplayer arrives athis or herstartingpoint,readyto play, within five (5)minutes after his or her starting time, in the absence of circumstances that warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, thepenalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole.Penaltyforlateness beyond five (5) minutes is DISQUALIFICATION.
16.CADDIES & GOLF CARTS
For the spirit of the junior events and preparation to participate in future international tournaments, whenever permissible by the golf courses, we will request that all players will walk and carry (own personal trolley (pull cart) is allowed)their own golf bags. The services of caddies will be used for fore caddies, take care of the course (divots, greens, and bunkers) and keeping statistics. Golf carts will be used for spectators and officials.Please note that players will still have to pay the caddy fees and tips; and golf carts as part of the entry fees as required by the golf course.
If we have to use caddies, only the club’s caddies are allowed on this tournament. Their responsibility is restricted to only

They should not give advice to players (Group A-D) to improve play: distance, direction, reading the green, and club selection. We are encouraging players to be able to play on their own.

17.SUBMISSION OF SCORECARD
a) Players should check their cards in the returning area (scoring table) and ensure that they are correct and signed. Any doubtful points should be settled with the Organizing Committee before returning the scorecard.
b) A Player is deemed to have returned his scorecard and no further amendments may be made once he has left the returning area (scoring table).

18.PACE OF PLAY( Note 2 to Rule 6-7 )
In the absence of mitigating circumstances a group is liable to be timed, in case it is in excess of thetime allowed and in the case of second or subsequent groups, out of position.
From the commencement of timing, if any player exceeds 50 seconds on “firstto play shot”, or 40 seconds, ifit is a “second or third play shot”, he is deemedto have had a “bad time”
The time allowed will be determined by the Tournament Director and will bepublished on the official notice board.“Out of position” is defined as exceedingthe starting interval behind the group in front.
A player whose group is timed will have a bad time carried forward in the roundeven if the group subsequently arrives back in position or within time.Penalty for breach of the conditions:
One bad time – Verbal warning from Rules Official
Two bad time – One stroke penalty
Three bad times – Two stroke penalty
Four bad times – Disqualification
Note :
1)Players will not be advised that they are being timed.
2)Timings will be taken from the moment it is deemed by the Official that it is the players turn to play.
19.SUSPENSION OF PLAY
a.Discontinue Play
If during the tournament it becomes necessary to suspend play, threeconsecutive notes, repeated, will be sounded on a klaxon/siren or notificationwill be otherwise communicated to the players.On being advised ofsuspension, competitors must not play any shot from the teeingground unlessany player in his or her group has commenced play of the hole.
b.Dangerous Situation ( Note to Rule 6-8 ).
If during play, it becomes necessary to suspend play for dangerous situation(e.g) lightning), playersmust discontinue play IMMEDIATELY.A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by a prolonged note of the klaxon/siren.) The note to Rule 6-8b will be in effect and any player executing a stroke after the siren has sounded will be disqualified.
c.Resumption of Play
As soon as conditions allow play to be resumed, two short blasts on the klaxon/siren will be sounded or notification will otherwise be communicated to the players.On being advised of the resumption, play will be recommenced immediately by all competitors on the course.
20.PRACTICE (Note 2 to Rule 7 )
A player must not play any practice stroke on or near the putting green of the hole last played.If a practice stroke is played on or near the putting green of the hole last played, the player incurs a penalty of two strokes at the next hole, except that in the case of the round, the player incurs the penalty at thathole.
21.CONDUCT ( Rule 33-7 )
1.The Committee may disqualify a player for improper behavior or conductsuch as the use of undesirable language (abusive) language) and anypublic display of anger while in the tournament areaor within the stipulate round, the rules official may give penalty :
a.1st time – Verbal warning
b.2nd time – Two Strokes penalty
c.3rd time – DISQUALIFIACTION
Parents and spectators are only allowed subject to the golf club local rules and approved by the Organizing Committee. If they are allowed into golf courses, they are prohibited to communicate with participants during play. They should remain strictly on the buggy path. If a spectator disregards this rule. The tournament official may give penalty:
a.1st time – Verbal warning
b.2nd time – Two Strokes penalty
c.3rd time – DISQUALIFIACTION

22.TRANSPORTATION
Unless being arranged by the organizing committee in line with clubhouse requirements, all players must walk at all times during a stipulated round.PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION : Two strokes for each holeat which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round is Four strokes.In the event of a breach between play of two holes, the penalty applies to thenext hole.Use of any unauthorized form of transportation must bediscontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred. Otherwise, the player is disqualified.
Exception : only when permitted to rideby the Organizing Committee.
23.DISPUTES or PROTESTS
Disputes or protests must be made in writing and be lodged with the tournament committee within ten minutes of the completion of the competitor’s round. Any disputes, will be settled by the Tournament Director, Chief Referee, and a representative from the Organizing Committee; and their decisionwill be final.
24.INCLEMENT WEATHER
In case of inclement weather, the decision will be settled by the Tournament Director, Chief Referee, and a representative from the Organizing Committee.
25.RESULTS OF THE COMPETITIONS – COMPETITION CLOSED
When the final results sheet is placed on the official notice board, theresult of the Competition isdeemed to have been officially announced.
26.OTHERS
a.No smoking and Alcohol Drinking.
Smoking and Alcohol Drinking are strictly forbidden on the course.The Committee may disqualify aplayer from the competition for so doing
Forbidden -Denim/jeans materials are not acceptable
c.Handphones
Handphones or any other communication devices are strictly NOT permitted on the course.If used, theyshall be confiscated.
27.ORGANIZING COMMITTEE
The Organizing Committee will be based on IJGC management team. In the event that the Organizing Committee is requested to make any decision involving the penalty of disqualification, the parent whose player is involved may appoint a non-voting observer to attend.
